  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 12 1x

Ingredients

Scale

All ingredients are dry (not cooked)

  • 2/3 cup ground flax seed
  • 1/2 cup almonds, chopped
  • 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 cup wheat germ
  • 1/2 cup raw sunflower seed kernels, (unsalted)

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients in a medium-sized bowl.
  2. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks OR in the freezer for up to two months.

Notes

  • Read more about the therapeutic properties of flax.
  • I always have a container of this in the freezer. I keep a 1/3 cup measuring cup right in the container for quick portioning in the mornings.
  • It is important to keep this mix in the fridge or freezer to avoid oxidation of the delicate oils in the flax seeds and nuts.
